Role overview

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Affiliate Marketing & Partnerships Intern to join our growing marketing team. This role sits where analysis meets commercial insights. On the travel side, we have a live affiliate partners already driving volume. That part needs sharper analysis: which partners are actually incremental, which are being credited for conversions we would have won anyway, where the tracking the real upside sits. On the local side, the referral program needs to be built. You will help design it from zero: what the incentive should be, what it costs us versus what it earns, how it gets triggered and rewarded, and how we test our way to a version that compounds. You will work hands-on in our affiliate platform, Conectia, alongside our wider analytics stack (AppsFlyer, Mixpanel, GA4). You will set up and test tracking links, check that the numbers line up across systems, dig into performance data, and transform your analysis into clear recommendations.

Key responsibilities

Analysis & Measurement

  1. Analyze affiliate and referral performance across Conectia, AppsFlyer, Mixpanel, and GA4: traffic, conversions, revenue, cost per acquisition, and payback

  2. Break performance down by partner, product line (travel eSIM vs. local plan), country, device, and campaign to find what is genuinely driving results

  3. Look past last-click: separate partners who create demand from partners who intercept it, and quantify the difference

  4. Build cohort views for local plans, where the question is not just how many signups a partner sent but whether those users stay and pay

  5. Reconcile partner-reported numbers against our own data and chase down every discrepancy until you can explain it

  6. Audit tracking links, parameters, and attribution setups, and catch breakages before a partner reports them

  7. Monitor traffic quality and flag patterns that look like abuse, self-referral, or incentivized junk

Building the Local Referral Program

  1. Help design the referral mechanic from scratch: who gets rewarded, for what action, how much, and at what point in the customer lifecycle

  2. Model the economics before we launch: reward cost against margin, expected payback period, and the break-even referral rate

  3. Define what gets measured on day one, so the program is instrumented properly instead of retrofitted later

  4. Map and automate the flow end to end, from referral link to reward payout, replacing manual steps wherever they appear

  5. Set up a testing roadmap: reward size, messaging, placement, and timing, with a clear read on what actually moved

  6. Monitor for abuse and build the rules that keep the program honest as it scales

  7. Turn the first months of data into a decision on where the program goes next

Partner Research & Growth

  1. Research and identify new affiliate opportunities on the travel side: comparison websites, blogs, publishers, influencers, and travel-related platforms

  2. Build out the local side, which is largely untapped: Belgian and Dutch telecom and price-comparison portals, consumer and personal-finance media, deal and cashback sites, and student, expat, and newcomer communities

  3. Make sure Firsty is listed, accurately described, and competitively positioned wherever people compare local plans

  4. Use traffic and SEO tools to size potential partners before we invest time in them, and estimate realistic volume rather than guessing

  5. Identify gaps in our current affiliate landscape and recommend the partnerships worth pursuing first

  6. Support outreach and onboard new collaborations, including their tracking setup

Campaign & Partner Management

  1. Support the execution of affiliate and referral campaigns across both travel and local plans

  2. Make sure partners work with the right offer and the right plan details for their market, since local pricing and terms differ per country

  3. Coordinate with partners so campaigns and tracking are veriter

  4. Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and respond to their requests

  • Familiarity with tracking links or UTMs is nice to have, not required

  • Organized, proactive, and eager to take ownership

  • Excited to learn and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment
