- Go-To-Market Intern (Belgium)
THE ROLE
Are you a hustler who thrives in the "beautiful chaos" of launching something new? We are looking for a sharp, resilient, and highly energetic Go-To-Market (GTM) Intern to help lead our charge into the Belgian market.
You won’t be sitting on the sidelines or doing mindless admin work. You will be the boots on the ground in Belgium, working directly with our Amsterdam-based founders to launch, adapt, and scale our product. Your mission is simple but challenging: build local awareness, forge key connections, and execute clever, low-budget marketing strategies that get Belgians talking about us. If you love growth hacking, storytelling, and building communities from scratch, this is your playground!!
WHAT YOU’LL DO
1. Creative Awareness & Growth Hacking
Execute Guerrilla Marketing: Brainstorm and execute low-cost, high-impact marketing campaigns (online and offline) to get our app in front of Belgian users.
Content & Localization: Tailor our brand voice specifically for the Belgian audience. Create engaging local campaigns, social proof, and organic content that resonates.
Campus & Community Building: Build and manage a network of local brand ambassadors (e.g., at universities or tech hubs) to drive organic, word-of-mouth growth.
2. Strategic Partnerships & Connections
Map the Landscape: Identify local businesses, influencers, student organizations and other strategic partners in Belgium who can help us scale.
Own the Outreach: Initiate contact, draft compelling pitches, and secure low-budget/co-marketing partnerships that benefit both parties.
Event Activation: Represent the company at local events, meetups, or pop-ups to drive direct user acquisition.
3. Market Intelligence & Feedback Loop
Understand the Belgian User: Act as our local ear-to-the-ground. Gather user feedback and map competitor behavior in Belgium.
Translate Data into Strategy: Work with the core team to analyze what’s working, what isn’t, and iterate on our Belgian GTM strategy weekly.
WHO YOU ARE
In Love with the "Beautiful Chaos": Startups move fast, and plans change daily. You aren't bothered by ambiguity
Deeply Belgian: You know the culture, the student life, the tech scene, and the subtle nuances of the Belgian market (understanding both Flanders and Wallonia is a massive plus).
Creative & Resourceful: You know how to make €100 look like €10,000. You don't need massive advertising budgets to get people's attention; you rely on creativity, hustle, and smart positioning.
High "Figure-it-out" Factor: When you hit a wall, you try to climb it before asking for help. You are a natural problem solver who loves testing new tools and tactics.
Thick Skin & Resilience: Launching a product means hearing "no" a lot. You take rejection in stride and use it as fuel to refine your next pitch or campaign.
The Basics:
Languages: Fluent in Dutch and/or French (Belgian native level) and highly proficient in English (our company working language).
Strong Communicator: You are comfortable pitching to strangers, writing catchy copy, and presenting ideas clearly.
Availability: Minimum 4 months, ideally 6 months.
Some previous experience is a plus
THE TEAM & ENVIRONMENT
Location: Hybrid. Working remotely from Belgium (fieldwork/community activation) with regular visits to our core startup team in Amsterdam.
Daily Tools: Google Suite, Slack, Notion, Canva/design tools, Claude, Lovable, the Firsty Product
Involvement: As a GTM team member, you will live and breathe our product, continually testing it in the wild and feeding vital real-world feedback to our product team.
