Role Overview

We are looking for a technically strong and independent Working Student Web Developer to support and further develop the digital front door of our global challenger. In this role, you will work on real production code that directly impacts thousands of users. You will contribute to the architecture and technical foundation behind our Storyblok setup and frontend environment. This is not a support role. You will build, improve, and ship.

We consciously choose quality over quantity. Our development team is intentionally small and made up of engineers who have built and scaled products used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. You will work directly with them from day one and see firsthand how strong technical decisions are made in a high performance environment.

This role is designed to fit alongside your studies and requires approximately one day per week.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development

Develop and improve custom components and technical infrastructure within Storyblok.
Write clean and scalable JavaScript and TypeScript code in our frontend environment.
Implement new landing pages and features based on marketing and product needs.
Contribute to improving the structure and maintainability of our frontend codebase.
Build solutions with long term scalability and maintainability in mind. AI tooling such as Claude Code may be used, but the delivered code must be clean, well structured, fully understood, and production ready. The tool is the means, not the excuse.

Performance and Optimization

Continuously improve website performance and loading speed.
Implement technical SEO enhancements and structured data.
Identify technical debt and propose pragmatic improvements.
Ensure a consistent and seamless experience across devices and browsers.

Collaboration

Work directly with technical leadership and the core engineering team on live production code.
Collaborate with marketing and product to implement experiments and new ideas.
Participate in discussions around frontend architecture and technical direction.

Who You Are

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong foundation in frontend development and modern web technologies.
Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
Curious, pragmatic, and motivated to build things that are used in production.
Comfortable communicating in English and collaborating in a fast moving environment.
