About us
We're an early-stage, post-seed startup building the software platform powering the next generation of telecommunications. Our engineering team is small and highly experienced, with engineers who have built and scaled mission-critical systems at companies including Adyen, Miro, and Microsoft.
The role
As a Data Engineer, you'll help design, build, and maintain the systems that power our platform. You'll work on problems around global connectivity, distributed systems, real-time provisioning, billing, and scaling a platform that serves users around the world.
From day one, you'll work closely with experienced engineers who will help you grow while giving you real ownership over the features and systems you build.
How we work
We are obsessed with turning messy, manual processes into robust, automated systems.
Pragmatic technical discussions. The best idea wins, regardless of who proposes it.
Few meetings, minimal process.
We value thoughtful engineering over chasing the latest trends.
What you'll do
Design, build, and maintain the data pipelines and automation behind mobile data usage tracking, reconciliation, provisioning, ordering, and stock-keeping, and turning today's manual workflows into reliable services.
Develop reliable, scalable data systems on GCP.
Design data models (medallion architecture) that hold up as we scale.
Write well-tested, maintainable code.
Review code and help maintain a high engineering bar.
Improve our engineering tooling and CI/CD.
Deploy to production regularly (multiple times per day) and take ownership of what you build.
Contribute to architectural decisions as we scale the platform.
What we're looking for
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
A solid foundation in data engineering through work experience, internships, personal projects, or open-source contributions.
Experience building non-trivial software projects from start to finish (beyond coursework).
Proficiency in Python, SQL, and a willingness to work across the stack in TypeScript (much of our work touches both).
A good understanding of relational databases.
Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and a desire to become an excellent data engineer.
Strong engineering fundamentals and an appreciation for testing, clean code, and maintainability.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ownership.
Nice to have
A master’s degree in Computer Science
Experience BigQuery/Spark/Redshift/Snowflake or equivalent.
Experience with PostgreSQL.
Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Experience with serverless architectures or cloud functions.
Experience improving CI/CD pipelines or developer tooling.
Experience in telecom, networking, or infrastructure products.
What we offer
A small team of experienced engineers who care deeply about building great software.
The opportunity to learn directly from engineers with experience at companies including Adyen, Miro, and Microsoft.
Meaningful influence on both product and technical direction.
Minimal bureaucracy, we optimize for shipping, not meetings, OKRs, sprint ceremonies, etc.
The opportunity to help shape a platform from an early stage.
Competitive compensation and meaningful equity.
How to apply
No CV or AI-generated motivation letter needed. We'd much rather see your GitHub profile or hear about a couple of substantial software projects you've built and the role you played.
