Relaunch of International Calling Calling Made Simple and Secure

Months of rebuilding bring back international calling with stronger reliability, security, and simplicity

We launched international calling in August 2025 with one goal: let people call anywhere without expensive roaming charges. Early response was strong, but as it scaled globally, we realized it needed serious work to operate reliably at that level. Rather than compromise on quality, we pulled it back and spent months rebuilding it properly.

Today, after extensive work on infrastructure, security, and reliability, international calling is live across the EU, Turkey, US, UK, Australia, Switzerland, Singapore, Canada, and Morocco. From there, you can call into 200+ countries. You dial from your regular phone app using your existing number, and you're calling internationally without a second line or separate interface.

    Why this matters

For frequent travellers, expats, and anyone who needs to stay connected across borders, international calling has always been a pain point. Traditional carriers bundle it into roaming plans that cost a fortune and don't reliably work. Firsty's approach strips away the complexity.  You can now call someone in another country the same way you call someone at home.

Behind the scenes, calls route through multiple operators with automatic failover. If one connection drops in quality, the call switches seamlessly to another without you noticing. The system balances cost and quality in real time so you're never overpaying for poor audio or getting cheap rates that don't work. Local pricing applies across 200+ countries with no roaming gouges or hidden fees. Just transparent rates based on where you're calling.

    The rebuild

This relaunch reflects how we work. Sometimes that means stepping back to build something better. The months paid off: international calling that actually works the way it should, with the reliability and transparency Firsty users expect.
