How to compare mobile plans
Look at the price per GB, not just the monthly price. Compare on the monthly price alone and you miss that DIGI 7 GB (€3) costs more than twice as much per GB as DIGI 30 GB (€5): €0.43 against €0.17.
Check your call minutes. Undo, Scarlet Red, Mobile Vikings 10 GB and Proximus Mobile Essential cap calls at 150 to 400 minutes. With DIGI 7 GB you pay €0.01 a minute to other networks.
Pick your network. Belgium has three networks: Proximus, Orange and Telenet. Yoin, Scarlet and Mobile Vikings use Proximus, hey! and Undo use Orange, BASE uses Telenet. DIGI is building its own network and falls back on Proximus 4G.
Have internet at home too? Then compare internet and mobile together, because combo discounts can tip the balance. Telenet gives a combo deal on every mobile plan with internet at the same address. Proximus offers 20 GB for €15 in a pack and a permanent €5 discount from the second plan. The table above only shows stand-alone plans.
See what happens when your data runs out. With Firsty and Orange you keep going at 512 kbps, with Telenet at 1 Mbps. DIGI charges €0.60 per extra GB, hey! €0.001 per MB.
Think about travel. In the EU, every Belgian plan works at Belgian prices. Outside the EU, each operator sets its own rates. Compare them in our roaming comparison.
Firsty in this comparison
Firsty runs on Proximus or another local network. Firsty 15 GB costs €7 and Firsty 100 GB €17 a month, with 1 GB or 2 GB of data in 176 countries. Once your bundle runs out, you keep going at 512 kbps at no extra cost. Firsty Free costs €0: you get data in exchange for short ads, without call minutes, so it works best as a second eSIM. Firsty's Belgian plans launch soon.
Switching to another mobile plan

How we compare

Frequently asked questions
How do I compare mobile plans in Belgium?
Compare the price per GB, your call minutes, the network and what you pay once your data runs out. In our table of 16 October 2026, the price per GB ranges from €0.13 (BASE 300 GB) to €3.40 (Proximus Mobile Essential).
What is the cheapest mobile plan in Belgium?
DIGI 7 GB costs €3 a month, but unlimited calls only apply to other DIGI customers. Unlimited calls to all networks start at €5, with DIGI 30 GB or hey! S. All the details are in our comparison of the cheapest mobile plans.
Which provider has the best coverage?
That depends on where you live and work. Telenet points to BIPT measurements from January 2026 for its 5G coverage, Proximus to awards from MedUX and SpeedChecker. Providers without their own network, such as Yoin or hey!, have the same coverage as the network they use. Check the coverage at your address on the BIPT coverage map. Which plan fits your use best is covered in our guide to the best mobile plan.
Is there an official comparison tool?
Yes. The BIPT, Belgium's telecom regulator, offers the free Bestetarief.be (in French: Meilleurtarif.be), where you enter your own usage. Your operator also has to tell you once a year which of its plans is cheapest for you, and answer within two weeks if you ask.
Can I keep my number when I switch?
Yes. Give your number to your new provider, and it cancels your old plan for you.
Does my Belgian plan work abroad?
In the EU, you call and surf at Belgian prices. Outside the EU, for example in Switzerland, Turkey or the US, your operator charges roaming rates unless you buy a roaming pass.
