We've been named eSIM Provider of the Year at the 2026 MVNOs World Awards. It marks a turning point for us. We've grown from a consumer travel app into the connectivity infrastructure running inside products from Uber, Grab, Belfius, and Mastercard.
"We are proud and honoured to be named eSIM Provider of the Year, especially here in Amsterdam, where we started," said Vince, our co-founder and CEO. "We set out to make staying online abroad simple and fair. To be recognised by our own industry means a lot to the whole team."
Firsty was founded in 2023 by two former Adyen engineers who were tired of the roaming bills that followed them on every work trip. Data that cost a few euros at home could balloon the moment they landed somewhere new, and the price of a call abroad was always a mystery. The answer was a single eSIM that activates in minutes, starts with free ad-supported data, and needs no contracts or SIM swaps. It now works in 185+ countries, covers international calling to 200+ destinations, and has more than 1.2 million users.
For businesses, a single integration is all it takes to offer mobile data, calling, and local numbers under their own brand, without carrier contracts or telecom complexity. We connect over 600 local carriers into one global platform and handle everything underneath.
"Telecom used to be one of the hardest things for a digital business to add, full of carrier deals and compliance," said Gauthier, our co-founder and CTO. "We turned it into a single integration a partner can go live with in two weeks. The same network that gives a traveller free data can sit inside a bank or a travel app, and they never have to build any of it themselves."
