What to Do If You Lose Your Phone with an eSIM Installed

What to Do if You Lose Your Phone

Oh no! You’ve lost your phone! Don’t worry, here’s how to get back into Firsty on a new device.

Step 1: Get access to your old phone number

  • This is important because you’ll need your old number to verify your identity in the Firsty app.

Step 2: Log in to Firsty

  • Download the app on your new phone.

  • Sign in using your old phone number.

Step 3: Install a new eSIM

  • Your account is linked to the eSIM that was installed on your old phone.

  • Purchase and install a new eSIM on your new device.

  • Once installed, you’ll be able to connect to the internet again.

Why do I need to buy the card?

It may feel like an eSIM should be free because it’s digital, but each eSIM has a real cost to create and provision. Every profile must be securely generated, encrypted, and activated through global telecom systems. That involves infrastructure, licensing, and backend fees, similar to how physical SIM cards cost money to produce and distribute. With an eSIM, you skip the shipping and plastic, but the digital infrastructure still carries a cost.

What if you don’t have access to your old phone number?

  • You can sign up with your new phone number and create a new account.

  • If you had credit left on your old account, just contact Firsty Support and we’ll transfer your remaining credit to your new account.

If you encounter any issues during activation, reach out to our support team through the Firsty app for quick assistance.
