How to delete a Firsty eSIM from your phone
Your Firsty eSIM is designed to be reused across multiple trips, so you normally do not need to delete it.
Only remove your eSIM when instructed by Firsty Support or when it is necessary, such as during an installation issue or when preparing to install a replacement eSIM.
Before deleting your eSIM
Keep these points in mind:
Do not delete your Firsty eSIM as a general troubleshooting step unless Firsty Support tells you to.
Make sure you select the correct eSIM. Your Firsty eSIM may appear under the BICS or Proximus network name.
Delete only the eSIM profile, not your Firsty account.
Removing the wrong eSIM could interrupt service from another mobile provider.
Unnecessary deletion may result in a replacement fee if a new eSIM is required.
How to delete a Firsty eSIM on iPhone
Open the Settings app.
Tap Cellular or Mobile Data, depending on your region.
Under your cellular plans, select the Firsty eSIM.
Tap Remove Cellular Plan or Delete eSIM.
Confirm the removal when prompted.
Your Firsty eSIM has now been removed from your iPhone.
How to delete a Firsty eSIM on Android
Menu names may vary slightly depending on your phone model.
Open Settings.
Tap Connections.
Select SIM Manager.
Under eSIMs, select the Firsty eSIM.
Tap Remove or Delete.
Confirm the removal when prompted.
Your Firsty eSIM has now been removed from your Android phone.
How many times can I delete and reinstall the same eSIM?
You can delete and download the same Firsty eSIM a maximum of three times.
After the third delete-and-redownload cycle, the eSIM can no longer be downloaded again. You may then need to purchase a replacement eSIM.
Because of this limit, avoid repeatedly deleting and reinstalling your eSIM unless instructed by Firsty Support.
What should I do if the eSIM will not delete?
If the deletion process gets stuck or your phone will not remove the eSIM, try the following troubleshooting steps.
Check your internet connection
Make sure your phone has a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Unstable connections and networks with strict firewalls, such as some public or corporate Wi-Fi networks, may interfere with the deletion process.
Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or using another active mobile data line.
Disable your VPN or Private Relay
A VPN or privacy feature may prevent your phone from communicating with the eSIM management server.
On iPhone
To disable Limit IP Address Tracking:
Open Settings.
Tap Cellular.
Tap Cellular Data Options.
Turn off Limit IP Address Tracking.
To disable iCloud Private Relay:
Open Settings.
Tap your name.
Tap iCloud.
Tap Private Relay.
Turn Private Relay off.
On Android
Open Settings.
Search for VPN.
Disconnect or temporarily disable the active VPN.
After deleting the eSIM, you can turn your VPN or privacy settings back on.
Restart your device
A restart can clear temporary issues preventing the eSIM from being removed.
Turn your phone completely off.
Wait 30 seconds.
Turn it back on.
Try deleting the eSIM again.
Try Safe Mode on Android
In rare cases, another app or system process may interfere with eSIM deletion. Starting your Android phone in Safe Mode can temporarily disable third-party apps and allow you to try again.
The steps for entering Safe Mode vary by device. On many Android phones, you can:
Press and hold the power button.
Press and hold Power off on the screen.
Select Safe Mode when prompted.
Try deleting the eSIM again.
Restart your phone normally after you finish.
What happens after deleting the eSIM?
After removing it:
The eSIM profile is removed from your phone.
You will lose the mobile-data connection provided by that eSIM.
You may be able to reinstall it on the same device, provided you have not exceeded the three-download limit.
Deleting it does not allow it to be installed on a different phone.
You may need a replacement eSIM if it can no longer be downloaded.
Deleting an eSIM vs deleting your Firsty account
Deleting the eSIM from your phone only removes the mobile-network profile.
It does not delete your Firsty account.
Do not delete your Firsty account when you only need to remove the eSIM, as account deletion may result in permanent loss of account information and require additional recovery steps.
