To cancel VOO, use the VOO contact form, call 078 50 50 50, or send a letter to VOO, rue Jean Jaurès 46, 4430 Ans. Only the account holder can cancel. Leaving within the first six months of your contract costs the remaining subscription fees up to month six; after that, cancelling is free, apart from the remaining value of a device you got with your subscription. Once you cancel, VOO emails you return labels, and you have 15 days to send back your modem, decoder and accessories. Switching to another operator? Don't cancel yourself: give the new operator your Easy Switch ID for internet and TV, and let it take over your mobile number.

What does it cost to cancel VOO?
Situation | What you pay |
|---|---|
Contract older than six months | Nothing for the cancellation |
Contract cancelled within the first six months | The subscription fees still due up to the end of month six |
Device bought with your subscription | The amount from the repayment table in your contract |
Moving out of the VOO area or death of the holder | No six month fee (supporting documents needed) |
Equipment not returned | The price on your return document plus a flat fee; VOO can keep your deposit |
Cancelling a TV subscription also deletes all the recordings on your decoder, so watch or save what you need first.
Does the six month rule apply to you?
At VOO, it can. Belgian law (article 111/3 of the electronic communications act of 13 June 2005) lets an operator charge an early termination fee only in the first six months of a fixed term contract, and never more than the subscription fees up to month six. VOO's terms say your contract runs for the duration stated on it, and VOO's own help page warns that leaving in the first six months costs an early termination fee, so check your start date before you cancel. After six months, the fee no longer applies, as the Belgian telecom regulator BIPT explains.
Signed at a distance or outside a shop? You can withdraw within 14 days, by phone or with VOO's withdrawal form.
Returning your VOO equipment
After the cancellation, VOO sends return labels by email, or by post if it has no email address for you. From the day you receive them, you have 15 days to return:
Equipment | Return? |
|---|---|
Modem and decoder | Yes |
Remote control, power cables, HDMI cable and cables | Yes |
External hard drive for recordings | Yes |
Old modems Netgear CG3100, CG3700 or Technicolor TC7210 | No, take them to a recycling park |
Where to find your VOO Easy Switch ID
Your Easy Switch ID and VOO customer number are at the top left of your invoice and in your myVOO customer area. Can't find them? Call 078 50 50 50.
Moving, death and other special cases
Moving within the VOO area? Don't cancel: VOO moves internet and TV for free, and a technician costs €90 only if your new home has no cable outlet. Contact VOO two to three weeks before the move, and use our checklist for mobile and internet when you move for the rest. VOO's GIGA network reaches 98 percent of homes in Wallonia and Brussels.
Moving to Flanders or abroad? VOO's terms let you leave without the six month fee when you move out of the VOO area, with supporting documents. For a move abroad, call or write with your customer number, your bank account and the departure certificate (model 8) from your commune.
Death of the holder? Call 078 50 50 50, which is fastest, or write with the name and customer number of the deceased, a copy of the death certificate and a copy of the certificate of inheritance. The heir can cancel without notice and without the six month fee. Prefer to keep the subscription? A change of holder is free.
A @voo.be email address? VOO started switching off its mailboxes on 2 September 2025 and offers a free temporary forwarding of at least 18 months, so move important accounts to another address before you leave.
VOO and Orange
VOO is a brand of Orange Belgium: Orange Belgium bought VOO in June 2023, and VOO has been fully part of Orange Belgium since 1 October 2025. Since September 2025, Orange has been offering VOO customers a move to Orange plans in waves. That move is an offer, not an obligation, so your VOO contract continues unless you accept, and VOOmobile already runs on the Orange network.
Switching? Keep your number
Keep your VOO mobile line active until your new operator has taken over your number, and let the new operator handle the transfer. Cancel first and you risk losing the number.
Telecom that works for you
Leaving an operator should take one form, not a six month countdown and a 15 day parcel deadline. Firsty is building telecom that works for you, not against you: no SIM card to swap, no roaming setting to remember, no zone chart to check and no surprise bill. If your phone does the heavy lifting while you move house or wait for a new connection, the Firsty 100 GB plan for Belgium gives you 100 GB in Belgium and the EU, then 512 Kbps for the rest of the month instead of a cut off, unlimited local calls and texts and 2 GB in 176 countries outside Europe. There is no contract, and because it runs on an eSIM, there is no device to send back when you leave. Firsty's Belgian plans launch soon, and the waiting list is already open. Every connection Firsty sells also connects someone in Belgium who needs it, not as charity, but as how the business works. Keep an eye on what Firsty is building, because things are moving, and discover more at Firsty.app.
